Sea Breeze Beach House
Here’s one that has gone over to the other side. Fans of our sister scheme, Great Little Places, might have stayed with Katherine when she ran her pretty house, Awelon, as a B&B.
That’s all changed. She’s now focusing her attention (and considerable verve) on a stunning self-catering eco cabin – christened Sea Breeze Beach House – in her beautiful garden overlooking Manorbier’s sandy coastline.
What hasn’t changed is Katherine’s passion for delivering unbounded hospitality, her care for the environment and creative flair when it comes to style and design. You could say that Sea Breeze is a perfect expression of the current zeitgeist, the spirit of our time.
It’s a sustainable architect-designed cabin with its own private walled garden. Its curved oak, sedum and grass roof tops a gleaming, uncluttered open-plan studio with Scandinavian-style décor, compact kitchen, wood burner, standard double bed and en-suite shower room. Bi-fold doors open on to a patio with an outdoor dining space and garden.
Katherine’s green credentials are beyond reproach. She has been awarded the International Green Key Award and Gold Green Key Leader Award for the sustainable and ethical way she runs her business. She’s got green fingers too. Her gorgeous garden is an oasis of contemporary design, sympathetic natural materials and innovative planting designed to encourage wildlife. Sea Breeze, with its own private access, is the ideal romantic hideaway in which couples can relax and unwind to the sound of the sea. Manorbier Castle, beach and the Pembrokeshire Coast Path are just a pebble’s throw away, and you’re close to Tenby, Saundersfoot and all of South Pembrokeshire’s beauty spots.
